Asus ROG Phone: The phenomenal gaming phone

Asus has announced its first-ever smartphone from its ROG line which is known for its gaming laptops. The company named the device – the ROG Phone, a mobile phone that is designed for hardcore mobile gamers. Here are some interesting tidbits about Asus’ upcoming device.

Innovative design

Unlike regular mobile phones, the ROG Phone comes equipped with an innovative chassis that looks like a miniaturized version of the Asus Zephyrus laptop. Much like ROG gaming laptops, the ROG Phone has a large backlit ROG emblem with an angular design that is embellished with copper venting. What’s more, it comes with an Aura Sync software that enables you to modify the smartphone’s colour and effects. On the back of the device, users will get access to the dual 12MP+8MP cameras and a sophisticated panel that exudes a futuristic vibe.

When it comes to the front panel, you will find a 6-inch AMOLED screen with full HD resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. This display offers an incredible 1ms response rate that enables the device to deliver incredible visuals when running any graphically-intensive games!

Boasts powerful innards

Under its hood, the ROG Phone is equipped with a Snapdragon 845 chip with an 8GB of RAM and 512GB internal storage. You’ll definitely get plenty of storage for games, apps, files, and whatnots. What’s more, the ROG Phone comes with a 3D vapour-chamber cooling system that allows heat to be spread evenly despite the device’s minuscule space. This results in a better mobile gaming experience when running graphically-intensive games.

Adequate battery and HyperCharge support

The Asus ROG Phone also comes with a 4,000mAh battery capacity which can last all day with a moderate gaming activity. And to make sure you won’t miss out on your favourite games for far too long, the ROG Phone has a HyperCharge support which can get the device’s battery up to 60% in just 30 minutes!

Comes with powerful accessories

The ROG Phone has a few accessories that will enhance your gaming experience. The TwinView Dock, for example, turns the device into a Nintendo-DS like device, since it has similar display size and resolution to the phone unit. On top of that, it has its own speaker system, cooling system, and a 6000mAh battery capacity, making it the ultimate accessory for your gaming needs.

Another notable accessory of the ROG Phone is the mobile desktop dock that allows you to connect to PC peripherals like keyboards, monitors, and mice. Other features you can find on the ROG Phone include a headphone jack, stereo speakers, and three air triggers which are programmable sensors that will keep your display devoid of any controls while gaming.

Asus ROG Phone Price and Availability in Singapore

The ASUS ROG Phone is set to be released sometime in August this year. As for its price, Asus hasn’t revealed it yet. Fans and potential buyers will have to stay tuned to find out.
