Love it or hate it – Asus Zenfone 2 Deluxe

When you set your eyes on this device, there are only two possibilities: love it or hate it. If you hate it, why are you still here? If you loved the looks, then we know why you loved it. Much like a split-personality individual, the Asus Zenfone 2 Deluxe portrays two very contrasting designs on one device. The smooth front with the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 finish with capacitive buttons portrayed neatly in the exterior, coupled with the abstract art 3D back casing is something out of fan-fiction.

The Crystal Miracle

Often called the Crystal Miracle, thanks to its ‘crystalized’ rear patterns, the Asus Zenfone 2 Deluxe packs a punch when it comes to specs. For a start, its 5.5 inch IPS capacitive touchscreen features 16M colours along with HD display. The phone weighs in at 170g making it balanced and easy to manage with one hand. Also, Asus ZenUI interface is one of the most user-friendly apps you can get in a smartphone.

Beyond its class

The Asus Zenfone 2 Deluxe comes in 3 variants, but let’s focus on the mid-spec model. To start off with, the Zenfone 2 Deluxe runs Android OS, v5.0 (Lollipop), upgradable to v6.0 (Marshmallow) on an Intel Atom Z3580 chipset. The Quad-core 2.3 GHz and PowerVR G6430 boost the phone into overdrive, making it fast and capable of keeping up with your pace throughout the day. Other features include 4GB of RAM, with 128GB internal storage and up to 256 GB microSD storage, keeping it way beyond its class.

Features you will love

Additional features in the Zenfone 2 Deluxe come in the form of a 13MP f/2.0 Autofocus rear camera with dual-LED flash along with the 5MP front camera for selfies and more. Sensors such as the accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass as well as basic features such as MP3 compatibility, SMS, MMS, Push Email and IM all come standard. GPS, Wi-fi Hotstpot and Bluetooth 4.0 keep you connected while on the go. The phone also comes with a non-removable Li-Po 3000mAh battery powering the device. Overall, the Zenfone 2 Deluxe is one smartphone you want to seriously consider.
