Huawei Mate 20 Pro Release Date, Specs, Price, Leaks and more in Singapore

Huawei Mate 20 Pro Release Date in Singapore

With the recent release of the Mate 20 Lite, the Chinese conglomerate is rumoured to release the Huawei Mate 20 Pro in mid-October 2018. The Mate series is the brand’s lineup of phablets that will rival the iPhone XS Max and Samsung Note 9.

Huawei Mate 20 Pro Specs

The new Kirin 980 chipset presumably going to be featured in the Huawei Mate 20 Pro. Some of the benefits of the chipset will be its ability to deliver better performance of up to 20% while battery efficiency is 40% compared to its predecessors. It will also have a minimum of 6GB of RAM, a triple-camera setup of 42-MP as well as fast-charge.

Huawei Mate 20 Pro Price

There hasn’t been an official announcement for the Huawei Mate 20 Pro price, but it is expected to be retailed for at least SGD 1,098.00 based on its predecessor’s (Huawei Mate 10 Pro) price. The reveal for the official prices will happen in London on October 16.

Huawei Mate 20 Pro Display and Design

Do expect an in-display fingerprint scanner on the Huawei Mate 20 Pro. It is also said that a Qualcomm ultrasonic scanner will be used which costs three times more than the traditional sensors. This is because; the scanner senses fingerprints whether if it’s wet or greasy.

As for the display on the Huawei Mate 20 Pro, it is rumoured to be fitted with a 6.9-inch OLED which will make it the biggest phablet yet. On top of that, it will come with a QHD+ resolution which displays crisp visuals. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro is expected to have Note 9-esque panel which is curved at the edges. Other than that, the smartphone will purportedly have a slightly wider notch.

Other Features

There will be several accessories that will accompany the Huawei Mate 20 Pro, such as a case that is able to keep the phone running for 20 hours straight. Huawei could also potentially launch the ‘Freebuds 2 Pro’ at the same time as the phone which are AirPods-inspired buds.
