Lenovo Ideapad 100s Singapore: An Affordable Modern Netbook

Back then, netbooks were produced and marketed to be inexpensive and utterly underwhelming in terms of performance and task execution. It’s an entirely different situation now. Though still being marketed as inexpensive devices, netbooks today come with Intel Atom processors that enables more horsepower when concerning demanding tasks. An example to be made clear here is the Lenovo Ideapad 100s—generally being able to deliver a full Windows experience while being travel-friendly and budget-friendly as well.

The Ideapad 100s comes is a smooth, matte, red plastic covering that Lenovo tries to portray as playful and fun. Equipped also with an 11/6-inch screen and measuring at 11.5x7.95x0.69-inches, the Ideapad 100s weighs at 0.99kg –great to bring along your business trips and superb for those who are always on-the-move, be it at work or at home.

You will get a full 1366x768 pixel screen resolution on a screen that is able to be bent up to 180 degrees. Furthermore, with a 1.33GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3735F processor, Intel HD Graphics, 2GB RAM, and a storage space of 32GB eMMC, the Ideapad is good enough to carry out the demanding tasks normal netbooks simply cannot. Though you might cringe at the fact that this netbook has very limited internal storage, you do however, have 3 options in regards to the storage. One is that you can add in an external storage through the USB port, two is that you can add in up to 200GB of storage through the microSD card slot, and three is that you can utilize the Cloud service available, like Office Online, OneDrive, or Google Docs.

One of the prominent features of the Ideapad 100s is how long can the battery last. You can get up to 7 hours and 41 minutes of standby time with a fully-charge battery. However, if you would want to venture into graphic-heavy applications like games or video editing, you’d be slightly disappointed due to the small lag sessions. Otherwise, you get to enjoy a lot more time on the netbook should you choose to live within the constraints of the Ideapad 100s.

Should You Own It?

Go for it if you are looking for a modern take on the netbook formula; affordable price, portability, long battery life, and decent performance. You can fit the Ideapad 100s into any bag without hustle and without making a big bulge. Furthermore, it could be a perfect netbook for those who are always on the road thanks to its long battery life.
