LG X Screen is one of the most compact designs with a slew of features inside. But what make this device worth a good look is the features it has compared to its bargain price tag. Read on!

LG X Screen: Looks and Feels Excellent for Mid-Ranger

The smartphone industry has kind of moved away from LG over the past few years. So, it's quite obvious that they need to come up with a product to get their foothold back.

LG X Screen is meant to do just that. Apparently, LG is trying to claw back into the market with the universally winning mantra of cramping in high-value features at a surprisingly budget price tag. But the question is whether this device is actually worth top sales figures. Here's a look at its features in detail.

Extremely Compact Design:

With dimensions coming in at only 142.6 x 71.8 x 7.1 mm (5.61 x 2.83 x 0.28 inches), this is easily among the most compact mid-rangers around. The metal body has 2 panels, front and rear. Typically flat panels are separated by dual-tone border encasings.

But that's not the most immediately noticeable feature. What will demand a nice look is the stand-alone second display screen plush just above the normal display modules. This 'Always-On' 1.76-inch second display adds a rare display utility to the device instantly making it high value and a USP.

Coming to the basic display module itself, it's a 4.93-inch IPS LCD FHD display with a display resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels at 298 PPI (Pixels Per Inch). Graphics are vivid and ergonomic. Although it is not meant to awe a buyer, it will instantly impress leaving zero room for complaint.

Powerful Performance:

A Qualcomm MSM8916 Snapdragon 410 series chipset uses a 4-Core Cortex-A53 processor. This setup couples with an Adreno 306 GPU. Clock speeds tick up till 1.2 GHz. But this setup is more about utilitarian tasking than sheer power. It scores in the top-bracket for devices in this price range for multi-core performance.

In short, buyers will be able to enjoy seamless multi-app tasking and smooth performance with the FHD display at its highest resolution for moderate gaming.

High-Value Camera Setup:

LG X Screen comes with a 13 MP rear camera integrating a CMOS sensor and Auto-Focus. Overall image quality and output are easily above what users might expect from it. Its f/2.2 aperture allows notable stills in low light conditions with the Single-LED also helping in. Video recording capabilities cap at 1080p.

The front selfie camera is an 8 MP shooter which too can take above average selfies thanks to a wide-angle lens and an inbuilt Face-Detecting sensor.

Android Marshmallow:

This device comes with an Android 6.0 Marshmallow inside along with the option for using the latest updates. LG may even include an additional option to buyers for an upgrade on to Android 7.0 Nougat awaiting official confirmation.

Storage Specs:

LG X Screen has 2 GB RAM combining with a 16 GB internal storage. External memory is extendable till 256 GB via a dedicated slot for a microSD card.

Battery and Other Features:

A 2300 mAh battery juices this device, quite above average in power in comparison to most other devices in this range. Run-times come in at around 14 hours 3G talk-time and 120 hours 3G standby.

LG X Screen review for Singapore:

There is no doubt that this is a one-of-a-kind smartphone thanks to the intuitive second display. Other than its USP though, this is still a high-value smartphone with every other feature coming in as above average in comparison to its price tag. It's available in Singapore at a discount tag making it actually a proper buy. Considering positive user and expert reviews, LG X Screen looks to garner strong sales in Singapore.
