Samsung recently expanded its Galaxy J Series smartphone lineup by unveiling the budget-friendly Galaxy J7 Nxt in India. It arrives with two color variants to choose from, namely Black and Gold. The newly-launched phone with mid-range specs packs a lot of similarities with its sibling, the Galaxy J7 (2016), and some minor differences as well.
The Samsung Galaxy J7 Nxt offers a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It's built with an all-plastic body with a dimension of 152.4 x 78.6 x 7.6mm, a body thickness of 7.8mm, and weighs 170 grams. Under the hood lies Samsung's Exynos 7580 octa-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz accompanied by 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. The Galaxy J7 Nxt runs on a pre-installed Android 7.0 Nougat operating system with Samsung's in-house user interface on top.
In the camera department, the Galaxy J7 Nxt features a 13-megapixel rear snapper with an aperture of f/1.9, autofocus, and a dual tone LED flash, and a front-facing camera taken care by a 5-megapixel shooter. As for the connectivity, it supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n 2.4GHz, Bluetooth v4.1, 3.5mm Stereo, GPS, GLONASS, and dual SIM. The handset's sensors include an accelerometer and a proximity sensor. The Galaxy J7 Nxt takes its power from a 3000mAh battery, which is slightly smaller compared to the Galaxy J7 (2016)'s 3300mAh cell. Surely, more details regarding the phone's availability will emerge in the coming days. Will it also arrive in other markets across the globe? We'll see.
