SanDisk Extreme Pro – The Best Just Got Even Better

A new contender for the title of the “King of SSDs” is here with the introduction of the SanDisk Extreme Pro. If you have been wanting to get a new SSD for your computer, or if you want to upgrade the SSD that you are currently using, then look no further than the SanDisk Extreme Pro. It is a top-performer amongst the other standard SSDs currently available in the market. What is even better is that this top-performing SSD is marketed at a competitive price and now even comes with a 10-year warranty. That is testament of how much faith SanDisk has on the reliability of the Extreme Pro.

The Extreme Pro is an upgrade to the highly-acclaimed Extreme II SSD. Featuring the same Marvell controller as the latter, the Extreme Pro is updated with optimizations that enhance the performance of the SSD to greater heights.

New nCache Pro Technology to Improve Performance

The Extreme Pro is the first SSD flash storage device that comes equipped with the SanDisk’s new nCache Pro Technology – designed to enhance read and write speeds for the SSD and improve drive endurance as well. The new technology also offers added protection for all the data that is stored in the memory of this device. When introducing the nCache Pro technology, SanDisk claimed that this revolutionary technology is capable of providing deliver consistent performance even while multitasking over long durations – all this and being highly energy efficient at the same time.

High Endurance Levels

Similar to all other SSDs, the Extreme Pro shares a common characteristic – it has a limited program cycles (known as endurance), meaning that there is a limitation to the amount of data you can store into the drive before it becomes unreliable. However, the Extreme Pro comes with reinforced endurance levels of more than 80TB. To give you a better idea of what this means, if you were to write 20GB of data into the drive on a daily basis, it will take more than 11 years for the Extreme Pro’s driver to run out of endurance. Most of us write less than 20GB per day, so rest assured that your Extreme Pro will last longer than any other hardware your computer possesses. With SanDisk offering a 10-year warranty on the Extreme Pro, you can breathe a sigh of relief that the risks of the Extreme Pro failing on you is next to zero.

Enhanced Software to Monitor Performance and Efficiency

In order to ensure that the Extreme Pro runs at optimal performance, users are able to download SanDisk’s Dashboard software that is available on Windows. This software monitors the performance of your Extreme Pro SSD by offering real-time diagnostics on the SSD’s performance, as well as providing you with information on any subsequent firmware updates and other support details to help you keep abreast of the Extreme Pro’s performance.
