Xiaomi Mi6 Price, Review, and Specs in Singapore

Xiaomi Mi6 Singapore: A Flagship-Killing Handset

With Chinese brands like OnePlus dominating the budget smartphone market, there’s another Chinese firm that keeps its costs down while creating remarkable devices - Xiaomi. They launched a flagship-killing handset that’s worthy of your attention: the Xiaomi Mi 6. Here's a rundown of its specifications and features.

Polished Exterior

At half the Samsung Galaxy S8’s price, the Xiaomi Mi 6 doesn’t appear to compromise on quality in terms of design like other similar handsets. It comes with a polished black rectangle body and rounded corners on the front, while its back displays an elegantly curved glass exterior. Just like most iPhones, the Mi 6 is nice to hold; thanks to its 7.5-mm slimness that is also easy to put in the pocket.

High-Resolution Display

Xiaomi didn’t hop on the super-wide aspect, high-resolution screen trend with the Mi 6, as it wields a 5.15-inch display and a 1,920x1080 screen resolution. These values might look underwhelming on paper, however, in person, the device appears to have one of the best displays despite its cheap price tag. With that, your eyes won’t experience strain when reading news stories or social media updates.

Top-of-the-line Processor

Under its hood, the Xiaomi Mi 6 houses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset which remains as one of the best processors to this day. To effectively multitask and run demanding apps and games, Xiaomi also integrated a 6 GB of RAM into the Mi 6 with a 64 GB or 128 GB of storage. It garnered a single-core score of 1,923 on GeekBench, making it one of the most incredible smartphones in 2017.

Impressive Camera Performance

The Xiaomi Mi 6 comes with dual cameras on its rear. Xiaomi followed OnePlus and Apple’s footsteps by attaching a secondary, 2x telephoto zoom lens on its primary camera. There’ an optical image stabilization and a wide f/1.8 aperture on the device’s main sensor to ensure that you can capture high-quality images. It also boasts a 2x lossless zoom, enhancing the quality of your images.

In terms of selfies, expect them to come out looking good, as the Mi 6 sports an 8-MP front snapper. But make sure to find an ideal lighting condition to come up with Insta-worthy and smooth selfies. Like iPhones, the Mi 6 also features a Portrait Mode that works by standing in front of the object and letting the smartphone apply the effect. This system is much simpler compared to the Redmi Pro, letting you customize the depth of field after capturing the image.

Long Battery Life

While the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 keeps its performance smooth, the Mi 6 also comes with a long battery life which can last up to 17 hours. Also, you won’t see any visible lags when multitasking and playing graphics-intensive games such as Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius.
