The Redmi 1S is Singapore's first ever entry into the smartphone competition. Despite being their pioneer device, it managed to hold up with the competition against other entry level devices in the terms of power, capacity and price.
Camera Ahead of Its Game
It boasts an 8MP primary camera, a more than good enough resolution for an entry level smartphone. On the other hand, its selfie camera is 1.6MP, producing social media friendly quality selfies. For the primary camera it can record video up to 1080p quality at 30fps, while its front is at 720p. For a shoe string price and a device that falls on the entry level category, the Redmi 1S Malaysia simply shines bright in the competition.
Above Average Entry Level Performance
In terms of power, the Redmi 1s is what you’d expect from an entry level smart phone. It is run by a Quad-core processor with 1GB RAM. This is sufficient enough to run moderate to a little below heavy amount of applications in order to stay productive at work or at play. The 1GB RAM provides enough space to run various background apps and active apps at the same time without having to lag around a lot. Also, its internal memory is 8GB but can be further expanded up to 64GB with its microSD slot of up. So, you could squeeze in enough apps and media files to satisfy your entertainment on the go needs.
HD Resolution Screen
Its screen is nothing outstanding, but it doesn’t underperform either. For a 4.7 inched screen, its 312ppi pixel density is already detailed enough to keep those pixels in check and make the screen quality look decent enough. Aside from that the screen’s resolution is set at 720x1280, giving a lot of room for images to be squeezed in to the screen.
Dual Network Operation
Its dual active standby capability allows its users to operate two sim card at the same time. Users no longer have to switch from one sim to another, because both can run at the same time on 3G.
