Achievement Unlocked: 10 Million and Counting

07 February 2018

Chinese smartphone giants, Huawei first entered the high-end smartphone scene in 2012 and they are unlikely to leave anytime soon with their recent achievement. Huawei has just announced that they have shipped more than 10 million copies of their flagship Huawei P9 and P9 Plus’ worldwide – making them the first models in Huawei’s inventory to achieve this remarkable feat. Despite a slow international market in terms of smartphone sales in 2016, this impressive result has proven that Huawei’s decision to invest in international markets is paying off handsomely. The announcement was made by Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei Consumer Business Group (CBG) in a press release released at the end of December 2016.

6 Reasons Why You Should Buy Huawei Nova Smartphones in Singapore

Huawei Nova series phones in Singapore are mid-range devices that cost less than flagship variants like the Huawei P9. Aside from their affordable price, here are other reasons why Huawei Nova smartphone is worth buying.

Small Yet Gorgeous Handsets

Huawei Nova smartphones are not only great looking handsets but also sensibly sized. They have a metal unibody and a curved 2.5D pane of glass over the front, with beautifully rounded edges to make them more comfortable and easier to hold. They are also perfectly pocketable and light – light enough that it’s never bothersome to carry in hand or in the pockets.

Sharp and Vivid Screens

Although Huawei Nova smartphones only wield exactly 5-inches, their LCD-IPS display has a decent 1,920 x 1,08-pixel resolution. With that, you’ll get excellent blacks, clear texts, and colors with high contrast, making the images stand out crisply.

Decent Battery

Huawei Nova smartphones in Singapore are integrated with decent 3,040 mAh battery. Since they sport a relatively small screen, their battery is expected to last longer. Huawei says two days of regular use should be achievable on the Nova. This will allow you to use many apps, do social networking, and take a lot of pictures for the day. However, you must left it on standby overnight.

Hardware that Saves Battery

The Huawei Nova smartphone is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chip inside, which is frugal with battery power than previous processors. Along with its 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB storage space, it’s faster than previous processors.

Great Software

Although Huawei Nova smartphones do not come with the latest Android Nougat, they still work flawlessly with the Android 6.0 Marshmallow, which offers a clean interface. On the screen, you will see no app tray and all app icons are spread across multiple home screens. Aside from that, you can see a notification drawer that splits into two sections: notifications and messages, then a left swipe to shortcuts such as Wi-Fi, screen brightness, and Bluetooth.

Huawei Nova smartphones in Singapore have their own phone manager that is useful for optimizing tasks such as cleaning up junk files, closing background apps, and checking on data usage. There’s also a weather app, a mirror app, an FM radio, a voice recorder, an email app, and several other generic Huawei-produced apps, most of which can be uninstalled.

In addition, notifications are interactive on the Huawei Nova smartphones, meaning once you tap them, you’ll get a quick-access to shortcuts. There are also many pre-installed apps, including Booking.com, WPS Office, News Republic, and various games. Luckily, these bloatware can be uninstalled.

Sharp Camera

Huawei Nova smartphones come with a 12-megapixel rear camera that takes colorful, and sharp pictures. Meanwhile, its 8-MP selfie cam takes decent pictures which can be further enhanced with the Selfie mode. This feature combines several key shots to ensure your face always looks its photogenic best.

Aside from the Huawei Nova series, check out their other series of smartphones, such as Honor and Ascend.
