In his 15-year career, Taiwanese heartthrob Jimmy Lin has treated his fans to wonderful songs and engaging dramas like The Legendary Siblings. Participating in a contemporary drama for the first time, he collaborates with other handsome idols like Li Wei (Toast Boy's Kiss) and Leon Jay Williams (Green Forest, My Home), plus Korean actress Yoo Ha Na and Taiwanese model-turned-actress Jennifer Hung. Jimmy Lin is Tian Qi, the rebellious second son of a prosperous jewelry group chairman. Tian Qi wants to ruin his elder brother's (Leon Williams) wedding because his future sister-in-law (Jennifer Hung) is actually his ex-girlfriend who dumped him for his brother. While escaping, Tian Qi runs into a girl named Star (Yoo Ha Na) who has just been released from prison because of a swindling case years ago. Apart more often than not, F4 members finally reunite on television in the new CTS drama Wish To See You Again. Teaming up for the first time since 2003's Love Storm, Vic Chou and Ken Chu share top billing in this highly anticipated romantic drama from the producer and director of Why Why Love, Corner with Love, and Devil Beside You. Bandmate Vanness Wu also takes a supporting role, along with idol drama favorite Kingone Wang (Devil Beside You). The lucky ladies this time around are Taiwan beauty Terri Kwan (La Robe De Mariage Des Cieux) and newcomer Michelle Chen from Why Why Love. The drama's impressive extended cast also includes Eric Tsang, Abe Tsuyoshi, Tien Hsin, Anthony Bao, and Megan Lai. As a sign of F4's longstanding popularity in Asia, Wish To See You Again actually aired first in Japan in December 2007 before arriving on Taiwan TV screens in early 2008. In order to focus on his writing, best-selling novelist Hsu Le (Vic Chou) moves into a five-star hotel owned by the family of his longtime friend Xiao Ma (Kingone Wang). As he agonizes over his writer's block, hotel employee Neng Xian (Michelle Chen), mistaking his odd actions for attempted suicide, storms into his room and chases his inspiration away. That's only the beginning of many chance encounters and relations that bring the odd couple closer to each other, step by step. Still searching for a story, Hsu Le decides to moonlight as a taxi driver and runs into high school pal A-Hao (Ken Chu), now a standoffish taxi driver. Angry about his past, A-Hao brushes off his former friends, but Hsu Le and Xiao Ma stubbornly pull him back into the circle. It's just like the old days again - until A-Hao's ex-girlfriend and Xiao Ma's current romantic interest Lu Yi (Terri Kwan) enters the picture.

Idol drama queen Rainie Yang and popular singer Will Pan pair up in the CTS romantic drama Miss No Good, the latest series from producer Angie Chai (Meteor Garden, Why Why Love). Sporting a head of bouncy curls, Rainie Yang brings her signature cute looks and sassy heroine antics to Miss No Good, scoring yet another hit idol drama after Why Why Love and Devil Beside You. Finally returning to idol dramas, Will Pan takes on his first television starring role since graduating from the ranks of the school drama Great Teacher, which he appeared in before his singing debut. Miss No Good also co-stars Japanese actor Dean Tatsuya Fujioka (Corner with Love, Summer's Tail) and Michelle Chen from Wish to See You Again. Jewelry store owner Xiao Hua (Rainie Yang) is as unfashionable as they come with her thick permed hair and loud gaudy clothing. Stylist Tang Men (Will Pan), whom she meets by chance, has nothing but poisonous put-downs to proffer when it comes to Xiao Hua. When the apple of her eyes, the rich and handsome Si Le (Dean Fujioka), returns from Japan, Xiao Hua is determined to transform herself into the kind of girl who can match up with Si Le. She enlists, or rather forces, Tang Men to help her achieve the ultimate style makeover, but along the way, they begin to fall for each other.

S$ 75.50
In every death, there is a story to be told. Critically acclaimed drama Flowers For My Life injects plenty of humor to lighten up the otherwise grim subject of death. This beautiful humanistic tale revolves around a dying mortician played superbly by Cha Tae Hyun (My Sassy Girl) who discovers the true meaning of life through the many deaths he stumbles upon both professionally and personally. Award-winning actress Kang Hye Jung (Old Boy) sprays in more delectable fragrance into the plot by portraying a cynical, cold-hearted gold digger who undergoes a profound transformation in the way she looks at life after encountering Cha's character. Though tackling the rather morbid theme of funeral and death, the drama comes alive with cleverly juxtaposed humor. Fans can also look forward to some delightful cameo appearances by top stars like Ahn Jae Wook and Chae Rim. Celebrating all that life has to offer, Flower For My Life gives hope even in one's darkest hour. As the daughter of a funeral director, Hana (Kang Hye Jung) has always treated death as just another part of life. To her, life is all about scoring a fortune by marrying a rich man whose days are numbered. For the happy-go-lucky Ho Sang (Cha Tae Hyun), life is overwhelming enough as it is without thinking of death. He lost his family fortune after standing bail for a friend while under the influence of alcohol. Now barely making ends meets as a delivery boy, he is constantly chased by loan sharks. One day after a particularly exhausting chase, he spots a hospital morgue as his perfect hideout, and walks into the dark chilly room where he runs into Hana.

KBS drama The Man of the Vineyard, a.k.a. The Vineyard Man, is Yoon Eun Hye's first drama after her breakthrough performance in Palace. While she won hearts as a commoner-turned-princess in Palace, the spunky actress makes a role reversal in The Man of the Vineyard, playing a spoiled city girl who must adjust to life in the countryside. Based on a Kim Rang novel, this "opposites attract" romantic comedy features beautiful rustic scenery, a lighthearted story, and a fresh cast. Yoon stars opposite newcomer heartthrobs Oh Man Seok (Hyena) and Kim Ji Suk. Bright, energetic, and just a bit spoiled, aspiring fashion designer Lee Ji Hyun (Yoon Eun Hye) is the picture of a typical city girl. She drinks expresso, takes dance lessons, dresses impeccably, and knows the value of money. After she gets fired from her job, Ji Hyun's grandfather asks her to go work at his vineyard. Moving to the countryside is the last thing Ji Hyun wants to do - until she realizes how much the land will be worth when it gets redeveloped. In exchange for a year at the vineyard, she can get the money to start her own fashion line. Life in the countryside is unbearable for this clueless city girl, especially when she has to work with a hillbilly like Kang Taek Gi (Oh Man Seok). But as time passes, Ji Hyun finds herself falling in love with both the vineyard and the man in it.

2007 marks the tenth anniversary of the 1997 Hong Kong Handover, when the territory was returned to Mainland Chinese rule. Dubbed a "Handover film" along with Barbara Wong's Wonder Women and Samson Chiu's Mr. Cinema, Law Wing Cheong's Hooked On You gently revisits those momentous ten years through the lives of normal everyday Hong Kongers. With the city as a loving backdrop, this Johnnie To-produced film follows the evolving experiences and relationships of two fishmongers played by Eason Chan and Miriam Yeung, who previously starred in Law's 2 Become 1. The memorable ups and downs of the decade, from the financial crisis and SARS to bakery runs and urban redevelopment, weave unassumingly into the narrative, as the protagonists and the city grow and change together. Collaborating for the third time after Feel 100% II and Frugal Game, Eason Chan and Miriam Yeung share a natural chemistry and deliver remarkably restrained and realistic performances. Banking simply and effectively on good acting, good story, and good direction, Hooked On You subtly captures the Hong Kong experience with earnest emotions, sincere storytelling, and down-to-earth nostalgia. In the summer of 1997, 27-year-old Miu (Miriam Yeung) begins working as a fishmonger at Fortune Market to pay off the debts of her irresponsible father (Stanley Fung). She immediately invites trouble from brusque fishmonger Fishman (Eason Chan), who is none too happy about the competition, but the two eventually settle into a tentative friendship. The hardworking Miu, like most Hong Kong women approaching the Big Three-O, is hoping to get married soon, and most definitely not to a market vendor. As the years pass, Miu and Fishman experience trials big and small together, growing closer over time. Fishman sees Miu and Fortune Market as his present and future, but she wants more from life.

Fashion 70s is an epic, sprawling drama, focusing on the lives of four young people, from their childhood during the Korean War, to their careers and love lives within the booming fashion world of the seventies. Young Joon Hee befriends little Kang Hee, but the two girls get into trouble because of Kang Hee's greedy mother. Joon Hee also makes friends with two boys, Dong Young, the son of a military general and Jang Bin. But when North Korean forces invade their town, both girls are separated from their parents and Joon Hee's mother is killed in an explosion. Believing his daughter to have died, Joon Hee's father adopts Kang Hee and raises her as his own daughter. Joon Hee is discovered at an orphanage by Kang Hee's mother, and is also adopted. The trauma of the events causes Joon Hee to block out her childhood memories and she grows up on a small island as Doe Mi, unaware of her true identity. Years pass and all four of their paths cross again, with complicated, destructive results. Doe Mi dreams of becoming a fashion designer, and petty criminal Jang Bin helps her move to Seoul to chase her dream. In the process he falls in love with her, but his feelings are unrequited. Doe Mi meets Dong Young, who has become an aide to the President, and although they do not recognize each other, there is an instant attraction between them. Kang Hee is also working in fashion, and already in love with Dong Young, but is heartbroken when she discovers he has fallen for Doe Mi. Fashion 70s marks a return to acting for star Lee Yo Won, who retired from the profession after getting married. The series also stars Kim Min Jung as Kang Hee, and heartthrobs Joo Jin Mo and Chun Jung Myung as respectively, Dong Young and Jang Bin.

A slacker gets his chance in the winning MBC drama Super Rookie. Eric Mun (Phoenix) of Shinhwa departs from his pop star image to wreak havoc as a bumbling nine-to-fiver who is grossly underqualified for his job. A hip drama about growing up while never giving up, Super Rookie serves as a telling but comic portrait of today's Korean youth. The series offers plenty of tongue-in-cheek humor and over-the-top laughs, while touching on the very realistic dreams and challenges that young people face. Co-starring in this crowd-pleasing hit is Oh Ji Ho (Fantastic Couple), as an overachiever trapped by his own ambitions, and Han Ga In (Terms of Endearment), as the mousy, bespectacled beauty who steals their hearts. Kang Ho (Eric Mun) is just an average guy who got a college degree in physical education - but took twice as long to get it because he was too busy fooling around! Disheveled, unskilled, and unemployed, Kang Ho sends up resumes to many companies, but nobody gives him a shot because he has no experience and no apparent prospects. Even his parents think he's just a freeloader. One day, Kang Ho decides to apply to the same large company that his successful classmate Bong Sam (Oh Ji Ho) works at. He completely bungles the interview process, but thanks to a computer error, he's given a job! Is the company ready for this Super Rookie?

Jack Neo has earned a reputation for humorously satiring public policies in Singapore since his hit comedy I Not Stupid which mocks the elitist educational system. This time he points his finger at the Singaporean government's bureaucracy, criticizing the outdated regulations and rigid mindsets of some civil servants. The film stars Fann Wong, who is very popular in the Mandarin-speaking world, and Singaporean comedian Gurmit Singh in two rival roles. Fann Wong is Tanya Chew, a young and dynamic manager who oversees the Event and Promotion Department of a statutory body. Her working style, originating from her dedication to work, unintentionally offends her subordinates who are long-serving civil servants, in particular office assistant Lim Teng Zui (Gurmit Singh). Tanya thinks that Zui should be held responsible for an embarrassing situation in which the Minister falls on the floor, but Zui refuses to shoulder the blame. The conflict turns into a car chase, resulting in an accident which swaps their souls.

Song Hye-kyo unfolds her charms again! This captivating romance between a lovely everyday girl and a pampered movie star whose lives intertwine through fate promises to keep you glued to your seat until the end of this wonderful Korean TV treat. Based on the Korean comic strip of the same name, Full House earned an average viewing rate of 31.9%, and its final episode attracted 40.2% of all viewers! Song Hye Kyo had previously won the hearts of TV lovers through her skilled performances in popular TV series hits while All In, Hotelier, and Autumn in My Heart, while Rain (a.k.a. Bi) is also a famous pop singer. The all-round star (whose real name is Jung Ji Hoon) possesses a dynamic, mellow voice and is known for his down-to-earth and modest behaviour. Director Pyo Min Su was not able to land a potential TV series hit with his earlier, more artistically-inclined works, such as Lie, Foolish, and Solitude, but, with the help of writer Min Hyo Jeong (Rooftop Room Cat), he created a real winner with this touching romantic tale. Through a tricky scheme by her so-called friends Ji Eun (Song Hye Kyo) loses the ownership rights to her beloved Full House, a luxurious mansion that used to belong to her parents when they were still alive. The new owner of the estate, Yeung Jae (Rain), is Asia's most hailed film star, and always behaves as if he was the ruler of the entire world, while treating others in his habitual straightforward manner. Desperate to get back what rightly belongs to her, Ji Eun uses all her womanly appeal to bring about an advantageous marriage with the over-confident entertainment artist...

The long-awaited spin-off to popular youth drama Palace has finally arrived! Featuring a completely new cast in the same royal setting, Palace S (a.k.a Prince Hours and Prince Hoo) marks the acting debut of pop star SE7EN, billed here under his real name Choi Dong Wook. Reimagining modern-day Korea with a fictional monarchy, the first Palace (a.k.a. Princess Hours) was one of the biggest hits of 2006, launching young stars Yoon Eun Hye, Ju Ji Hoon, and Kim Jung Hoon into great fame. While Palace revolves around Yoon Eun Hye's commoner-turned-princess role, Palace S turns the focus to a long-lost prince played by SE7EN, who especially took time out of his busy schedule to participate in the drama. Appearing opposite the young star are rising actresses Park Shin Hye (Trees in Heaven) and Heo Yi Jae (Sunflower) and princely rival Kang Doo of Jadu. Poor but carefree Lee Hoo (SE7EN) is just a regular joe who delivers take-out for a Chinese restaurant. His life takes a dramatic turn though when he finds out he is actually a member of the royal family. The long-lost prince is brought back to the palace to start a new royal life. But he has trouble adjusting to his newfound identity, not to mention his evolving relationship with longtime friend Soon Ae (Heo Yi Jae) and beautiful blue blood Sae Ryung (Park Shin Hye), whose dream of marrying into the royal family is affected by Lee Hoo's appearance. Adding to his headaches is the determined Lee Joon (Kang Doo), Lee Hoo's rival for the title of Crown Prince.

From Damo and Dae Jang Geum to Hwang Jin Yi and Jumong, period dramas have delivered some of Korean television's biggest stories and highest ratings in the last few years, and this trend all began in 1999 with MBC's Hur Jun (a.k.a. The Legendary Doctor - Hur Jun). Created by veteran producer Lee Byung Hoon and screenwriter Choi Wan Gyu, who would go on to write Jumong, Hur Jun can be credited with essentially revitalizing the historical drama genre. Chronicling the life of legendary Joseon physician Hur Jun, the series pioneered a new sub-genre of period dramas by telling a traditional story with modern tricks. The drama brought in over 60% viewership ratings in Korea, one of the top three of all time. The illegitimate son of a magistrate, Hur Jun (Chun Kwang Ryul) endures much grief and discrimination while growing up due to his lower caste. As a reckless youth, he gets pulled into a smuggling ring and is forced to flee his hometown. He ends up settling in Gyeongsang, where he begins to study medicine and mature as a man. Naturally gifted in medicine and determined to help society's most unfortunate, Hur Jun slowly builds a reputation for his medical prowess, embarking on a long and trial-ridden journey that will eventually take him to the palace.

The tumultuous life of Korea's most famous gisaeng comes to screen in the acclaimed KBS period epic Hwang Jin Yi. Having already left a deep impression with the period drama Damo, actress Ha Ji Won takes on the challenge of portraying the titular Hwang Jin Yi, a 16th-century gisaeng (Korean geisha) renowned for her beauty and her intelligence. Both revered and reviled in her lifetime and the next, Hwang Jin Yi left behind some poems, scant records of her life, and a myriad of rumors about her romantic encounters. In the hands of director Kim Chul Kyu (More Beautiful Than Flowers) and writer Yoon Sun Joo (The Immortal Lee Soon Shin), Hwang Jin Yi paints a sensitive portrait of a strong, unyielding woman who saw life in beautiful colors, ahead of her time in a relentlessly class-based society. Ha Ji Won received the top Daesang award at the 2006 KBS Drama Awards for her performance. Born to a blind gisaeng, Hwang Jin Yi (Ha Ji Won) was sent to a remote mountain temple at a young age, as her mother hoped that her daughter would be able to escape the life she led. Fate, however, works in strange ways. One day, seven-year-old Jin Yi comes across a gisaeng performance. Captured by their beautiful singing and dancing, young Jin Yi runs away the next day and enters a gisaeng training school. From that day on, she walks a lonely path, eventually becoming the Joseon era's top gisaeng. Hwang Jin Yi is forever linked with the names of those who loved her. Her tragic first love with a nobleman's son (Jang Geun Suk) sets the tone for much of her later relationships, including her troubled marriage with poet Kim Jung Han (Kim Jae Won, in his first costume role). Brazen royal Byuk Kye Soo (newcomer Yoo Tae Jun) and loyal bodyguard Lee Seng (Lee Shi Hwan) would also play great roles in Hwang Jin Yi's life. Her name belonged to the times, but her heart would spend a lifetime searching for its home. Also taking front stage in the drama are the brilliant costumes and amazing set designs that bring the world of Hwang Jin Yi to life. KBS spared no efforts to recreate Joseon era Korea, and the results unfold magnificently on screen. The vivid array of hanbok (traditional Korean dress), designed by Kim Hye Sun, has attracted a lot of attention, as far as to influence Korean fashion trends, and the elaborate set has become a tourist spot.

The theater maestro now takes up his first starring role in Simply Actors, a breezy comedy about this whole business of acting. Directed by Patrick Leung and Chan Hing Kai, the team behind Born Wild and La Brassiere, the film is an entertaining mix of screwball hijinks, genre-bending drama, and gentle life lessons. Thai filmmakers seem to be particularly fond of ghost films, but Dorm stands apart from the rest. One of the directors of 2003 box office hit My Girl, Songyos Sugmakanan goes solo for his second film, reuniting with child actor Chalee Trairat for the decidedly uncommon Dorm. Though marketed as a horror, Dorm escapes easy categorization. The beautiful color-drained photography, gray institutional set design, and eerie music and visuals are effectively creepy and moody, bringing plenty of scares as the story unfolds. The film, however, does more than just frighten. Revolving around a young boy's uneasy boarding school experience, Dorm is as much a coming-of-age story about friendship, forgiveness, and facing fears far greater than ghosts. Unceremoniously sent to boarding school by his parents, 12-year-old Chatree (Chalee Trairat) has trouble adjusting to dorm life. The school is run by a creepy, emotionally disturbed headmistress (Jintara Sukapat), and the other boys aren't interested in making friends. Instead, they torture Chatree with tales of ghosts haunting the hallways, one of which seems to be menacing him. Things start to look up for Chatree when he finally finds a friend in Wichien (Sirarath Jianthavom), but Wichien turns out to be no ordinary boy.

Sometimes dramas teach you that blood ties aren't the only family you have. Shows like Goodbye Solo or the film Family Ties focused more on emotional connection than the usual traditional family tropes. Fake Family Service (a.k.a. Bad Family) goes even further with this format. What if a group of strangers had to get together and pose as a kid's family? Na Rim lost all her family in a suspicious accident, and her uncle manages to find substitutes so he can keep the girl in check while he finds the culprit. His choices? Gangster in decline Dal Geon (Kim Myung Min, The Immortal Lee Soon Shin and The Great White Tower) becomes Na Rim's uncle, third-rate casanova Jang Hang Gu (Im Hyun Shik of Seo Dong Yo) becomes her grandpa, and the rest of the family consists of a grandmother who curses every three words, a boy band lookalike, and much more. But of course the problems don't end there. They already had a hard time finding the guy who forced them in this situation, now they have to pretend they're a happy family. Produced by Yoo In Shik of Bad Housewife and Into The Storm, Fake Family Service reminds of the great little sitcoms shown in the 90s. The comedy flows extremely well, thanks to the talent of its cast; the drama isn't too over the top and manages to touch the viewers simply because they end up caring about the characters. After rising to stardom with his title role as Lee Soon Shin in the acclaimed historical drama, Kim Myung Min makes a U-turn playing a former gangster, trying all he can to maintain that tough guy aura but losing it all thanks to the cuteness of little Na Rim. Also of note is young Nam Sang Mi (Sweet Spy, Never To Lose), who is improving at an impressive rate. Mixing a great cast, a nice script, lots of laughs, and even a few tears, Fake Family Service was one of the most entertaining dramas of 2006.

A great job as the manager of a world-class hotel, all the money you could ask for, and the respect of your peers. But does that mean happiness? Thanks to her, he finally understands what was missing from his seemingly perfect, yet perfectly empty, life. He begins to appreciate the little things, value sincerity and sentiments. Perhaps it's never too late to find happiness, even for someone who must say good-bye. Though the setup may seem familiar, Mr. Good-Bye is more than just another rich-boy-meets-poor-girl story. Ahn Jae Wook and Lee Bo Young paint living, breathing characters that the audience immediately connects with. Dropping the theatrics in favor of realistic characters and emotions, Mr. Good-Bye slowly unfolds an unforgettable story that lingers long after it ends.

Get ready for more ominous phone calls in the third and apparently final installment of the popular One Missed Call horror franchise started by Miike Takashi. This time directing duties for One Missed Call Final fall on TV director Aso Manabu. Like in the previous two films, terror begins with that special ring tone and a phone message foretelling a horrible death. The filmmakers have added a Battle Royale-meets-Carrie twist to One Missed Call Final, as friends are pitted against each other in a race to save themselves, making the film more thematically complex than the typical vengeful ghost flick. Starring teen idols Horikita Maki (Always - Sunset on Third Street) and Kuroki Meisa (Under the Same Moon), One Missed Call Final is a bone-chilling entry into the J-horror genre that plays on fear, adolescent uncertainties, and the terrifying evil of both the human and spiritual worlds. A group of Japanese high school students go on a school trip to Korea, but little do they know, what awaits them is not fun and games. The students begin to receive cell phone messages with pictures and details of their upcoming deaths. The only way to avoid death is to forward the message to someone else. Hysteric frenzy follows as the students desperately send the cursed message around, turning everyone against each other. The message seems to have originated from timid schoolgirl Asuka (Horikita Maki), who has been bullied one too many times...

SBS medical drama Surgeon Bong Dal Hee has been one of the most popular Korean dramas of 2007, pulling in great reviews and ratings of over 20% during its broadcast. PD Kim Hyung Sik was recognized with a Best New Producer award for the drama at the 43rd Baeksang Awards. Surgeon Bong Dal Hee marks a rare foray into television for film actor Lee Bum Soo, star of such films as The City of Violence and My Wife is a Gangster 3. Similar to Grey's Anatomy, Surgeon Bong Dal Hee follows the comings and goings of doctors and patients at a hospital, covering both the serious and the lighthearted situations that arise in daily interactions in the medical field. Lee Bum Soo portrays a cardiac surgeon opposite actress Lee Yo Won (Fashion 70s), who plays the title role of bumbling medical resident Bong Dal Hee. Also donning white robes for the drama are Kim Min Joon (Lovers in Prague), Oh Yoon Ah (Alone in Love), and Choi Yeo Jin (Sorry, I Love You). First-year resident Bong Dal Hee (Lee Yo Won) approaches her life and work with a simple-minded gungho sincerity. Accepted against all odds into the Hankook University Hospital residency program, she is determined to become a surgeon, all the more so because of her own heart condition. She immediately gets on the bad side of Ahn Joong Geun (Lee Bum Soo), a very strict and professional cardiac surgeon who often gets angry at the mistake-prone Dal Hee. Adding to the negative impression is Dal Hee's friendship with recently divorced surgeon Lee Geon Wook (Kim Min Joon), whom Joong Geun has disliked since their intern years. As time passes, however, Joong Geun and Dal Hee begin to develop a close relationship.

If your feet are cold, your heart stays warm... Rising stars Park Shin Hye and Lee Wan first appeared on the small screen together in 2003 as Choi Ji Woo and Shin Hyun Jun's younger counterparts in Stairway to Heaven. Though they only featured for the first few episodes, the two young actors left a deep impression on viewers with their debut performances, and have since become stars in their own right. In 2006, director Lee Jang Soo followed up Stairway to Heaven with Trees in Heaven, this time with Lee Wan and Park Shin Hye as the leads. Co-produced with a Japanese production company, Trees in Heaven was shot completely in Japan, and features a cast of both Korean and Japanese actors. Park Shin Hye and Lee Wan received a lot of praise for mastering their Japanese dialogue, and the drama significantly raised their international profile when it was aired in Japan. A picture-perfect Korean Wave drama in every sense, Trees in Heaven follows a heartwrenching romance born in the beautiful snowscape of Japan. Bright and optimistic Japanese teenager Hana (Park Shin Hye) lives at a small hot springs inn owned by her mother. When her mother decides to marry a Korean man, she tries her best to reach out to her odd, introverted stepbrother-to-be Yun Suh (Lee Wan), who likes to walk barefoot in the snow. He rebuffs her initial efforts, but her cheer eventually wins him over. With their parents on honeymoon, Hana and Yun Suh stand up to Hana's spiteful aunt (Chung Kim) and cousin Maya (Asami Reina) together, and the two develop an increasingly close relationship over time. Yun Suh is forward in his love for Hana, but despite feeling the same way, she cannot accept a sibling romance. After graduating high school, she leaves for Tokyo with her admirer Asahi Uchida (Fujiwara Ryu), and loses contact with Yun Suh. Years later, Hana, Yun Suh, and Maya meet again. Time has led them down very different roads, but the love and the rivalry remain the same.
